NEOVOLTA POWER LLC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support installation, commissioning, and a hands-on role in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for automated equipment in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Georgia. The role emphasizes Mandarin-speaking coordination with suppliers, with English as a beneficial skill.

You will oversee equipment installation, FAT/SAT activities, and develop SOPs while driving uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mandarin fluency and basic English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist vendors and integrators with production line assembly, wiring, startup, and commissioning.
• Verify utility interfaces, electrical connections, grounding, labeling, sensors, and safety interlocks prior to energization.
• Support FAT/SAT activities, punch list tracking, and issue resolution during ramp-up.
• Ensure all equipment handovers include full operational documentation and verified operational condition.
• Perform daily inspections, predictive/preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Replace defective components, including motors, sensors, drives, relays, valves, and actuators.
• Execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly PM schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts records, and repair histories.
• Assist in developing SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance standards.
• Identify and execute equipment enhancements to boost reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Manage spare parts inventory according to manufacturer guidelines and active DFMEA/MFMEA results.
• Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, EHS, Facilities, and vendors for equipment readiness and prompt issue resolution.
• Support ramp-up demands, including overtime, weekend, and planned shutdown work to hit startup milestones.
• Guide operators on proper equipment usage, basic troubleshooting, and autonomous maintenance practices.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Engineer will work alongside equipment suppliers during installation and commissioning to gain a thorough understanding of machinery structure, operating logic, and maintenance needs. Post-handover, this role transitions to a key in-house team member responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, uptime optimization, and continuous improvement of automated equipment in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility.

Language Requirements:

Required: Spoken Mandarin fluency and basic English communication skills to liaise with Mandarin-speaking equipment suppliers and technical engineers during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training.

Preferred: English fluency is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Installation & Commissioning Support

Assist vendors and integrators with production line assembly, wiring, startup, and commissioning.

1. Safety, Quality & 5S Compliance

Strictly follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, PPE, and site safety procedures.

Maintain clean, organized work areas adhering to 5S standards.

Uphold quality standards to ensure consistent production output.

Immediately report unsafe conditions or recurring equipment issues.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, EHS, Facilities, and vendors for equipment readiness and prompt issue resolution.

Support ramp-up demands, including overtime, weekend, and planned shutdown work to hit startup milestones.

Guide operators on proper equipment usage, basic troubleshooting, and autonomous maintenance practices.
