Job description

About the Role: * All US OR EMEA locations considered*

Gartner is seeking a Managing Vice President (MVP), Content Promotion, to define and lead Gartner’s enterprise strategy for promoting, activating, and amplifying our most differentiated research. This leader will ensure Gartner’s highest-value content, including Mission Critical Priorities (MCPs), Client Journeys, Market Coverage, Magic Quadrants and Critical Capabilities, AI Content, First Takes, Take Two, and enterprise themes, is intentionally orchestrated across every client‑facing channel to maximize client engagement, commercial impact, and business value. The Managing Vice President, Content Promotion will ensure Gartner’s best insights reach the right clients, through the right channels, at the right time. By creating a coordinated enterprise approach to content promotion, this leader will help increase research consumption, strengthen client retention, improve commercial outcomes, and reinforce Gartner’s position as the world’s leading authority for executive decision making.

What You’ll Do:

The Managing Vice President, Content Promotion will establish Gartner’s enterprise content promotion strategy, ensuring our most important research is consistently amplified across Sales, Service, Marketing, Gartner.com, Conferences, Public Relations, digital channels, and webinars. Lead and develop an organization of approximately 20 associates responsible for Gartner’s enterprise content promotion capabilities, providing strategic direction, coaching, and operational leadership across the teams that manage our key distribution channels and activation programs. Define the enterprise strategy for promoting Gartner’s most strategic research assets, ensuring every major piece of content receives coordinated, high-impact activation across all client‑facing channels. Ensuring our Vendor and AI content continue to set Gartner apart as the World Authority on AI. Establish a repeatable operating model that determines what content should be promoted, where it should appear, when it should be activated, and how each function across Gartner contributes to its success. Partner closely with Sales, Service, Marketing, Conferences, Product, Gartner.com, Communications, and Public Relations to create a synchronized promotion strategy that dramatically expands the reach and influence of Gartner’s research. Ensure Gartner’s highest‑value insights are consistently surfaced throughout the client journey, from digital discovery and marketing campaigns to sales conversations, service interactions, conferences, media engagement, and webinars. Identify Gartner’s highest-impact content using client demand signals, performance analytics, commercial insights, and executive feedback to continuously optimize enterprise promotion priorities. Build scalable activation mechanisms that reduce reliance on manual coordination while ensuring Gartner’s strongest research is consistently promoted across the enterprise. Drive conviction across Sales and Service by ensuring frontline associates understand Gartner’s strongest positions and have the right content available at the right moments to create meaningful client conversations. Partner closely with the Content Strategy & Innovation, Content Modernization, Product, and research leadership teams to ensure the enterprise promotion strategy evolves alongside Gartner’s research portfolio and client needs. Working through executive relationships and cross‑functional leadership to align diverse organizations around a common strategy for maximizing the visibility, consumption, and commercial impact of Gartner’s research. Charts the course for how BTI’s top content is positioned across the business, proactively defining priorities and guiding sales and service leaders through the transformation rather than responding to inbound requests. Lead partner with GSSO on workstreams related to driving Sales and Service conviction in Gartner as the World Authority on AI. Ensuring our best AI content, strong AI positions, and top AI assets are well positioned for frontline associates, and they are trained in how to drive those with clients. Partners closely with IPA analytics and customer insights teams to leverage demand signals, performance data, and CXO feedback to determine which content should anchor the enterprise activation ecosystem.

What You’ll Need:
