ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Air Quality to lead and grow our air quality services across Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh. You will guide complex permitting and compliance programs while mentoring staff and expanding client partnerships.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental), environmental science, or related field—equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of air quality/compliance consulting experience (7+ years preferred).
  • Proven expertise in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT compliance.
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of securing large contracts.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Grow: Drive strategic expansion of ERM’s air quality services and client base in the Midwest, focusing on pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
  • Develop Business: Identify new opportunities, craft winning proposals, and build lasting client partnerships.
  • Deliver Expertise: Oversee complex air permitting and compliance programs, including NSR, PSD, Title V, NESHAP MACT, EPCRA, and dispersion modeling.
  • Mentor and Collaborate: Guide junior staff, ensure quality deliverables, and work with ERM’s global air quality team to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
  • Innovate for Impact: Support ERM’s global strategy by contributing to cutting-edge climate and air quality solutions.
