Job summary

HarperCollins Christian Publishing seeks a highly organized Managing Editor in Nashville (or Grand Rapids) to oversee production planning and workflow for identified opportunities. You will coordinate with editorial, marketing, and creative teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in publishing project management, strong data management skills, and proficient use of RSuite or similar tools. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong publishing processes knowledge and scheduling experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Advanced MS Office, esp. Excel, and data handling skills.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in publishing preferred.
• Experience with project data systems and tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up data, manage project lifecycle, and ensure data integrity.
• Lead publishing projects using Asana and coordinate editorial input.
• Collaborate on product development, pricing, and specs.
• Assess risks early and adjust plans to meet budgets and timelines.
• Document production plans and maintain cross-department relationships.
• Support sales, marketing, and transition titles to new formats.
