Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a senior leader to head the Risk Framework function within Risk Governance & Strategic Risk (RG&S Risk). The role ensures the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is applied consistently and evolves with regulatory expectations across the enterprise and U.S. Material Entities.

You will align RMF to strategy, risk appetite, and growth priorities. You will provide authoritative RMF guidance, lead Three Lines of Defence implementation, and sustain enterprise-wide RMF

Qualifications

• Translates evolving regulatory expectations into RMF design and application.
• Aligns RMF to enterprise and jurisdictional strategy and risk appetite.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance RMF coverage across enterprise structures.
• Provides advisory and interpretation on RMF and core methodologies like Three Lines of Defence.
• Maintains Risk Governance architecture and RMF material entity governance.

Responsibilities

• Leads RMF across the enterprise and U.S. material entities to ensure consistent application.
• Delivers an enterprise-wide view of RMF effectiveness across enterprise and U.S. coverage.
• Promotes risk culture and accountability for risk-taking activities.
• Drives simplification and productivity improvements within risk governance.
• Mentors and develops a diverse risk and business team.
