Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and growth-driven Managing Director to lead business development for our Office of the CFO Practice. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on expanding our consulting and interim services across private equity-backed companies and their sponsors. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network, commercial acumen, and a passion for building trusted client relationships in the PE ecosystem.

You will be responsible for originating new business, expanding existing accounts, and collaborating with practice leaders to scale delivery capacity and market presence. This role is ideal for a hands-on builder who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to influence how finance transformation services are delivered to high-growth companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead origination efforts with CFOs, PE-backed portfolio companies, and private equity sponsors
• Drive growth of the Office of the CFO practice through targeted outreach, relationship building, and go-to-market execution
• Collaborate with delivery teams to scope engagements, shape solutions, and ensure successful execution
• Represent East 57th Street Partners at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
• Build a network of interim and project-based finance talent to support delivery capacity
• Maintain a strong understanding of evolving market needs across private equity and corporate finance functions
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights into finance leadership, transformation, and scalability

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, consulting, or practice leadership within the professional services, private equity, or public accounting sectors
• Deep knowledge of the Office of the CFO service landscape, including interim leadership, finance transformation, and transaction readiness
• Proven ability to develop new client relationships and expand accounts in PE-backed environments
• Executive presence and strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at the C-suite level
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of success in building or scaling a professional services offering

Location & Work Schedule

• Preferred location: DFW Metroplex
• Open to candidates based in other major U.S. metro markets
