We raise, mobilize, and create resources; provide capacity building; promote leadership development; and amplify the narratives of an aligned ecosystem of social justice leaders, organizations and initiatives that are building community power in Puerto Rico. The Managing Director will serve as a critical leader of the María Fund, working in close partnership with our Executive Director to give life to our new strategic vision by operationalizing it throughout all parts of the organization.
They will be responsible for the implementation of our strategic plan, reshaping our internal capacity in order to best meet our mission. This work will include managing operations, guiding programs, leading teams, and shaping culture. They will be supported in this work by our fiscal sponsor, Tides, (which provides us with robust support in the areas of HR, finance, legal, and administrative backend operations systems) and by a talented team that includes an Executive Director, Communications Director, Resource Mobilization & Movement Partnerships Director, Finance & Administration Director, two Program Managers, a Communications Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.
The Managing Director reports directly to the Executive Director and is a member of the executive leadership team.
