Job summary

Equality Fund seeks a Managing Director to serve as a senior strategic partner to the CEO, translating ambitious vision into practical plans and disciplined execution across the organization. You will lead enabling functions, connect internal operations with external work in global grantmaking, investment, and advocacy, and guide governance, culture, and readiness for scale.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior leadership experience at a comparable level
• Experience partnering with CEOs and senior executives
• Strong operational and organizational leadership capabilities
• Proven ability to translate vision into executable strategy
• Experience with governance, reporting, and cross-functional alignment

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted senior partner to the CEO and provide candid guidance on priorities
• Translate strategy into clear priorities, plans, decisions, and governance processes
• Lead enabling functions including internal communications and People and Culture
• Connect internal operations with externally oriented work such as partnerships, grantmaking, and advocacy
• Drive governance processes, information flow, and decision making across the organization
• Shape the executive agenda, manage senior leadership rhythms, and ensure accountability
• Support leadership to maintain feminist values while scaling the organization
• Foster cross-cultural collaboration and external credibility with partners
