ProService Hawaii seeks a Claims Operations Leader to oversee performance in our claims program, ensuring accountability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a legal background with strong leadership skills, capable of coaching a team and managing client relationships.
This hybrid role based in Hawaii Kai offers flexibility with a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $160,000 per year. Benefits include fully paid healthcare, 401(k) matching, and paid parental leave.
At ProService, we’ve been helping Hawaii employers navigate the complexity of running a business for 30 years — and workers’ compensation is one of the most consequential areas we touch. Our claims program directly shapes financial outcomes for the businesses we serve, and we’re looking for a leader who takes that seriously.
This is a full-ownership role. You’ll lead the claims team, build the operational systems that drive performance, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating one of the most complex areas of employment law in Hawaii. You’ll have real authority to shape how the program runs — and real accountability for the results it delivers.
This is an operational leadership role where accountability and follow-through aren’t optional — they’re the job. You’ll be responsible for real outcomes: closure rates, average claim costs, time-to-resolution, and client satisfaction. When results aren’t where they need to be, you’re expected to move quickly. The work is both internally focused and client-facing, so you’ll regularly split attention between team development and external relationship management.
Worth knowing: this role requires working knowledge of Hawaii’s workers’ compensation system — or a demonstrated ability to get there fast. You’ll be expected to advise independently on claims strategy and client escalations within your first 90 days. This is best suited for someone who’s comfortable in client-facing situations and leading through ambiguity.
We’re looking for someone with a legal or claims background — attorney-level training or equivalent experience with workers’ compensation systems is strongly preferred. Relevant Hawaii WC experience is a plus, but a strong learner with solid leadership fundamentals and a track record of ownership can get up to speed quickly. A JD is preferred; Hawaii Bar admission or eligibility is a plus.
This role is based out of our Hawaii Kai office. We offer a flexible hybrid schedule that gives you the structure of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
In office: Tuesday – Thursday | Remote: Monday & Friday
The base compensation for this position is $135,000 – $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
At ProService, compensation is tied to performance. Strong results are recognized and rewarded, and there are clear paths to advance within the Claims leadership track and into broader operational leadership across the organization.
