Position Overview

Food Bank For New York City is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and digitally curious professional to support the day‑to‑day management and ongoing growth of the organization’s digital platforms and communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will help manage website updates, support digital content development, coordinate digital projects, and maintain consistent, user‑friendly experiences across web platforms.

This role works across nearly every department—from Programs and SNAP to Volunteer Services, Development, and Advocacy—helping coordinate digital needs and execute established priorities.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, dependable project manager, and problem‑solver who is comfortable with hands‑on execution. This person should feel confident managing website updates in WordPress, supporting digital communications projects, coordinating workflows across teams, and helping improve audience engagement through thoughtful digital experiences.

As Food Bank For NYC continues to invest in digital transformation, this role will also support key initiatives focused on client self‑service, content discoverability, and digital accessibility.

What You’ll Do
Website Management & Content Operations
  • Serve as day‑to‑day point of contact for our website development partner helping run weekly planning meetings, allocate work between internal and external teams, track deliverables, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
  • Coordinate digital project management across departments, including campaign pages, website enhancements, and special projects such as SharePoint, intranet development, website redesigns, and future digital experience initiatives.
  • Gather requirements, coordinate assets, and manage project workflows across internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Manage timelines, approvals, documentation, and task tracking through Monday.com.
  • Meet regularly with departments to understand upcoming initiatives, content needs, operational challenges, and opportunities where digital can provide support.
  • Coordinate digital deliverables across the website, email, forms, landing pages, SMS, and other engagement channels as assigned.
  • Support implementation of upcoming digital initiatives—including the Resource Hub, client portals, chatbot experiences, and self‑service tools.
Client Self‑Service, Search & Content Strategy
  • Partner with Programs and other teams to identify the questions New Yorkers ask most and develop self‑service content that helps answer them.
  • Maintain Resource Hub and knowledge‑base content, including FAQs, guides, and evergreen resources.
  • Write, edit, and optimize website content based on audience needs and search intent.
  • Manage ongoing SEO and GEO efforts to improve visibility across traditional and AI‑powered search experiences.
  • Support content development for future chatbot experiences, self‑service tools, and digital resource navigation.
  • Manage Google Business Profile information and ensure organizational listings remain accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and manage a Reddit engagement strategy that brings subject‑matter experts—from SNAP, Advocacy, and other teams—into conversations to answer New Yorkers’ online questions.
  • Meet regularly with participating teams to identify common questions, edit and strengthen responses, prepare staff for engagement, and support timely, accurate, and respectful comment moderation.
  • Build and maintain HubSpot forms, integrations, lists, and email automations connected to the site as needed.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Support our digital optimization program by launching A/B tests, surveys, heatmaps, lightboxes, and behavioral analytics.
  • Support website and campaign reporting in GA4, Looker Studio, Hotjar, and related platforms.
  • Monitor website campaign page and content performance, search visibility, engagement trends, and user behavior.
  • Regularly share reporting and insights with Director of Marketing and cross‑functional teams.
  • Oversee UTM governance across owned channels.
  • Support Google Ad Grant and Paid Search strategy.
What We’re Looking For
