Job description

Manager, Web Production

ThoughtSpot Mountain View, California, United States

About this position

We’re looking for an experienced web production and operations leader to manage the operational and technical foundation of our marketing website. You have seen best‑in‑class B2B SaaS web infrastructure up close, and you know how to bring order, structure, and momentum to a fast‑moving web organization. You will be a key technical and operational partner across web systems, tooling, process, and developer operations, working closely with marketing, product, and engineering leadership to keep the site scalable, reliable, and well‑governed as the business grows.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Web Foundation and Operations: manage the technical and operational foundation of the marketing website including CMS architecture, deployment workflows, performance monitoring, integrations, documentation, and governance. Audit existing assets, flag technical debt, operational risks, or inefficiencies, and build toward a scalable, maintainable system that supports long‑term growth.
  • Establish scalable processes for intake, prioritization, documentation, QA, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering to identify risks early and represent the web team’s perspective in planning conversations.
  • Lead and support a team of web developers—advocate for the team’s needs, protect their time, prioritize the queue, remove blockers, and create an environment where developers can do their best work.
  • Drive scalable tooling and AI adoption: identify and implement AI‑assisted workflows, automation opportunities, and modern tooling that improve developer efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
  • Vendor & agency management: assess and rationalize existing vendor and agency relationships, create documentation and transition plans, and establish clearer ownership boundaries and operational processes to improve long‑term maintainability.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in web production, web operations, or a related technical leadership role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Deep familiarity with modern web infrastructure, CMS platforms, deployment workflows, performance tooling, and front‑end development operations.
  • Strong understanding of developer experience and engineering best practices.
  • Proven experience managing or leading a web development team.
  • Experience operating high‑traffic or highly cross‑functional marketing websites.
  • Strong communicator who can advocate for technical decisions with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience creating scalable operational processes, documentation standards, and ownership models; comfortable making difficult trade‑off decisions and bringing clarity to complex environments.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted development tooling and automation workflows.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, and GTM.
