About this Position
We’re looking for an experienced web production and operations leader to manage the operational and technical foundation of our marketing website. You’ll be a key technical and operational partner across web systems, tooling, process, and developer operations, working closely with marketing, product, and engineering leadership to keep the site scalable, reliable, and well‑governed as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Own the Web Foundation and Operations
Manage the technical and operational foundation of the marketing website: CMS architecture, deployment workflows, performance monitoring, integrations, documentation, and governance. Audit existing systems, flag technical debt and operational risks, and build a scalable, maintainable system that supports long‑term growth.
- Establish scalable processes
Create intake, prioritization, documentation, QA, deployment, and maintenance processes that drive efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders
Partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering to flag risks early and represent the web team’s perspective in planning conversations.
- Manage & Support a Team of Web Developers
Lead and support a team of web developers, advocate for their needs, protect their time, prioritize their queue, remove blockers, and foster an environment where developers can excel.
- Drive Scalable Tooling & AI Adoption
Identify and implement AI‑assisted workflows, automation opportunities, and modern tooling to boost developer efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Vendor & Agency Management
Assess and rationalize existing vendor and agency relationships, create documentation and transition plans, and establish clearer ownership and operational processes.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in web production, web operations, or a related technical leadership role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Deep familiarity with modern web infrastructure, CMS platforms, deployment workflows, performance tooling, and front‑end development operations.
- Strong understanding of developer experience and engineering best practices.
- Proven experience managing or leading a web development team.
- Experience operating high‑traffic or highly cross‑functional marketing websites.
- Strong communicator who can advocate for technical decisions with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating scalable operational processes, documentation standards, and ownership models, and making difficult trade‑off decisions.
- Experience with AI‑assisted development tooling and automation workflows.
- Tools: Google Analytics, HubSpot, GTM (plus familiarity with reporting and analytics).
Work Arrangements
- Hybrid work: expected in‑office 3 days per week to experience local office energy.
- Remote work: role available as a remote position.
- Onsite work: office‑assigned Spotters encouraged to experience local office with a 5‑day per week in‑office expectation.
Pay Range
160,000 - 210,000 USD per year (Mountain View, CA)
145,000 - 195,000 USD per year (US - Chicago)
