Job description

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Manager oversees operations at their assigned Medical Equipment Operations warehouse. They are responsible for inventory control, shipping and receiving, facility oversight, and compliance with all HSI policies. This role also includes managing direct reports, hiring and training employees as needed, and supporting FSCs and telemarketers with distribution inquiries related to medical equipment operations. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for quoting White Glove Deliveries for freight, ensuring accurate pricing and service coordination for specialized shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics

  • Manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate receiving, processing, labeling, and placement of inventory.
  • Oversee order fulfillment, including assembling, wrapping, strapping, and staging orders for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Run daily and monthly reports to monitor inventory levels, purchase orders, and space utilization.
  • Communicate and coordinate with carriers, customers, and sales representatives to schedule deliveries for installation.
  • Provide quotes for White Glove Deliveries, ensuring proper pricing, handling, and service coordination.
  • Manage returns, damages, and claims, ensuring proper documentation, timely resolution, and compliance with company policies.
  • Approve crediting the customer for returns, damages, or other applicable scenarios in line with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance as a Registered DR (Designated Representative), overseeing regulatory requirements related to medical equipment distribution.
  • The Reno, NV warehouse is responsible for shipping to Hawaii and Alaska, ensuring proper packaging, carrier coordination, and transit logistics for these unique shipping destinations.
  • Shipping to California requires special knowledge of the state's regulations, including compliance with Proposition 65, transportation requirements, and handling of medical equipment per local laws.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse environment and ensure all safety standards are met.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Hire, train, and develop warehouse employees as needed.
  • Enforce HSI policies related to inventory management, shipping procedures, and interactions with the sales force.
  • Maintain records, create month-end reports, and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Prior management experience with team supervision, scheduling, and performance oversight.
  • Proficiency in NES (Warehouse Management System) and reporting tools.
  • Forklift certification and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Registered DR (Designated Representative) certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
