Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead underwriting for property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts. The role supervises underwriters, drives profitable growth, and oversees agency relationships within a defined territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field.
• Minimum six years commercial P&C underwriting experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Experience managing and developing staff.
• Excellent knowledge of the independent agency system.
• Hands-on underwriting technical experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and retain profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles consistent with company policy.
• Oversee a team of underwriters and associate underwriters to promote sales of P&C products through the independent agency system.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to optimize profitability and risk selection.

Currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager who will be responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy, overseeing a team of underwriters and associate underwriters who promote sales of various P&C products through the independent agency system.This position will be hybrid in our Glen Allen, VA office or opportunity for remote within our territory.

The salary range for this position is $128,396-$197,729 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
