Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires BSN or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience and one year of leadership experience.
• Registered Nurse: CA license upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Schedules nursing staff to shifts, considering utilization trends and trains/mentors staff.
• Coordinates unit activities during shifts and directs work assignments.
• Assesses and educates nursing staff on patient care; institutes emergency procedures as needed.
• Provides nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis.
