Job summary

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. The starting wage for this role is $37,440 per year or $18 per hour.

You will gain hands-on experience in sales, operations, fleet management, and leadership development in a fast-paced environment. We value strong customer service, problem solving, and adaptability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service: Support achievement of location sales goals; deliver excellent customer experience; learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management: Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control; assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care: Support cleaning, vehicle prep, lot management and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration: Learn finance processes and support deal completion; understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development: Shadow and support management; build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching; prepare for future leadership roles.
