Job summary

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. This fast-paced role is ideal for someone eager to learn all aspects of our business.

The starting wage for this position is $36,400 per year or $17.50 per hour. You will gain hands-on experience in fleet operations, CRM, and leadership fundamentals while growing a rewarding career with Hertz.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management: Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care: Support team with vehicle prep, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration: Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development: Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
