Essential Functions

• Produce annual budget and achieve budgeted goals
• Oversee and follow goals presented in budgets
• Work with sales and inventory managers to identify product orders
• Ensure all orders are processed timely and efficiently
• Oversee nursery marketing in coordination with sales and marketing departments, focusing on promotions, communication, customer appreciation, promotional materials, and events
• Assist with purchasing wholesale materials
• Determine quantities needed to supplement inventory shortages based on budgets
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to the warehouse manager
• Develop and improve pesticide programs and education, including chemical management and MSDS maintenance

Staffing and Safety

• Hire, train, and supervise employees; assist with payroll
• Assign work schedules and duties; manage time off and hours for payroll
• Maintain safety awareness and enforce safety policies
• Implement safety training and communicate policies to staff
• Accommodate employees with light duty restrictions

Customer Service and Miscellaneous

• Provide customer care advice and procedural guidance
• Assist the General Manager in meetings as needed

Experience / Skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple activities effectively
• Problem-solving and effective communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Forklift certification required
• Physical ability to lift/carry 50 lbs; work outdoors in weather conditions
