Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our Shawnee branch. You will learn to run a successful rental location while delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting daily operations.

This hands-on role offers structured training with real-world experience and the potential to promote to Branch Manager in 12–18 months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into leadership.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and identifying customer needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by guiding customers through the rental process.
• Assist daily branch operations including fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, documentation, and compliance.
• Partner with leadership to understand scheduling and performance coaching.
• Build skills to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer-focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real-world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

Wage: $18.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.

• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 20 years old


• Valid driver’s license required


• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed


• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred


• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills


• A self-motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
