Position Overview

The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management typically occurs within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance as a management team member.
• Support overall store operations, including management, supervision, and policy implementation.
• Manage financials, including analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements.
• Handle employee staffing, training, and development.
• Oversee inventory management and customer service leadership.

MITs are responsible for completing training, learning about the business and culture, and demonstrating progress to remain in the program and be considered for management openings. Promotion to Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and availability.

Minimum Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Automotive experience and financial analysis skills are preferred but not required.
