The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management promotion within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

An MIT is part of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager’s supervision, the MIT maintains an engaged, productive team through strong leadership, initiative, and leading by example.

The MIT supports the Store Manager in:

• Overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation
• Financial management - managing, analyzing, and reconciling monthly P&L statements
• Employee staffing, training, and development
• Inventory management
• Customer service leadership

MITs must complete operations and management training, learn about key business aspects, and demonstrate consistent progress to remain in the program and be considered for management roles.

Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Ability to work full-time with flexible hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Automotive experience and financial analysis experience are preferred but not required
