Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC. seeks a Manager of Technical Accounting in a hybrid New England environment.

The role leads technical accounting efforts, with ASC 606/842, Pre-IPO and SEC reporting expertise, and reports to the senior finance team. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5+ years of public company experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor staff while guiding complex engagements and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in a public company environment.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, Pre-IPO, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing teams and project engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting guidance to the organization, including research and interpretation of accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos, and analysis of complex accounting transactions
• Review and assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required filings
• Ensure compliance with new accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and provide guidance on their implementation
• Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to those policies
• Manage teams and project engagements, including overseeing the work of staff and senior accountants
• Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions and other special projects
• Provide guidance and training to team members on technical accounting matters
• Communicate with external auditors and other stakeholders on technical accounting matters
• Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
