Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Manager, System Planning - Gas in Houston, TX. You will lead hydraulic modeling and system design for pipeline projects, directing a team of planning engineers to deliver optimized, reliable system plans that balance safety, cost, and schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 8+ years in pipeline/system planning, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel ~20% and a hybrid/onsite environment support.

In this role, you will provide leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for the System Planning function — responsible for hydraulic modeling and system design of pipeline and facility projects, as well as firm transportation capacity determination, management, and posting.

You will ensure the development of optimized, competitive, and reliable system plans that balance safety, cost, schedule, and operational performance. You will lead a team of planning engineers and subject matter experts, aligning planning outputs with business objectives while collaborating across Project Development, Execution, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality project scope and decision support.

What You Will Do:

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with collaboration across multiple project teams.

• Frequent travel (~20%) is required for field visits, other offices, conferences and team events. Ability to travel throughout Canada and United States. Valid passport is required.

• A valid driver’s license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.

• Deadline-driven environment with multiple competing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Salary:

• Ranges from $145,000 - $190,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

• Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
