Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee operations at the Surgery Center in Missouri. The role requires planning, organizing, and directing perioperative activities to uphold Mercy standards and quality control.

Ideal candidates have a BSN, RN licensure, and 5 years perioperative RN experience plus 3 years in leadership. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential for success in this multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

Overview

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities of the Surgery Center. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: BSN preferred.
Licensure: Nursing License in the state of practice.
Experience: 5 years RN Periop experience required; 3 years Nursing leadership experience required
Other: Manager will have the following skills: 1) Well developed communication and interpersonal skills. 2) Well-developed writing skills sufficient to design comprehensive and concise reports and proposals. 3) Skill in developing and effectively delivering oral presentations. 4) Skills to successfully direct the operations of multiple functioning areas. 5) Skill to develop and implement departmental operating budget. 6) General knowledge of data processing functions/software. 7) Skill in effectively applying coaching/ counseling techniques in the resolution of staff conflict. 8) Skill in identifying and recommending training needs of staff. Knowledge of the skill to direct all activities of the center, to include a) directing the development and implementation of quality control procedures, b) directing a multidisciplinary team, and c) overseeing the development implementation, and promotion of new programs.
