  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Operations, distribution, logistics, inventory management, or a related regulated environment; pharmaceutical or life-sciences experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience assessing and managing third-party logistics capabilities, facilities, service levels, performance metrics, escalations, and corrective actions.
  • Strong financial understanding of the order-to-cash process and the relationship among orders, shipments, proof of delivery, invoices, credits, deductions, accounts receivable, revenue timing, inventory valuation, operating expense, and working capital.
  • Demonstrates strong inventory-management expertise, including inventory controls, lot and expiration management, cycle counts, reconciliation, adjustments, allocation, shelf-life risk, returns, and disposition.
  • Solid working knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain Operations, including demand and supply interfaces, warehousing, transportation, distribution, product launches, and supply continuity.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, warehouse-management, order-management, and data-integration processes; experience with NetSuite, SAP, EDI, serialization, or comparable systems is preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution requirements, DSCSA, product traceability, quality-system expectations, ERP, and ambient and cold-chain operations.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, including working knowledge of project-management tools and techniques and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manages the day-to-day business relationship and serves as the primary operational escalation point for 3PL related activities.
  • Owns 3PL service-level and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews and works with internal and external partners to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Oversees the financial order-to-cash process, including order validation, release, fulfillment, shipment confirmation, proof of delivery, invoicing, credits, returns, deductions, and transaction closure.
  • Partners with Finance to resolve incomplete or inaccurate transactions and support billing completeness, revenue timing, cash-application research, accruals, and month-end close activities.
  • Reviews 3PL fees, accessorial charges, invoice variances, inventory adjustments, credits, and other financial transactions; supports operating budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Develops and implements inventory controls across the 3PL network, including inventory ownership, location, status, lot, expiration, release, allocation, cycle counts, and book-to-physical accuracy.
  • Leads inventory reconciliation and root-cause analysis with 3PL, Finance, Quality, and internal Supply Chain and ensures adjustments follow established approval and documentation requirements.
  • Works with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to manage and validate ambient and cold-chain distribution, carrier performance, packaging requirements, proof of delivery, and temperature-related shipment escalations.
  • Coordinates product release and holds, damaged-product assessment, DSCSA compliance, serialization, EPCIS exchange, traceability, and audit readiness with Quality and Regulatory partners.
  • Supports 3PL activities for new product launches, network and warehouse changes, new-item and customer setup, and ERP or 3PL system implementations, including testing, procedures, training, and operational qualification.
  • Maintains data and reporting controls across ERP, warehouse, order-management, EDI, and related interfaces to support complete, accurate, and timely operational and financial reporting.
  • Prioritizes, assigns, and reviews 3PL work performed by the Supply Chain Analyst through coordination with the Director, Supply Chain.
  • As the organization grows, assumes direct people-management responsibilities, including goal setting, coaching, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to resolve operational, inventory, financial, distribution, and data-integration issues with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Patient Services, Information Technology, Commercial, and service providers.
