Job summary

Qualifications

Remote work is not available.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic and tactical leadership, mentorship and have full ownership of a team of subcontract administrators and managersEnsure team compliance with established policies and procedures around all stages of a subcontract for commercial and government programs and using different subcontracting types.Manage a team responsible for development and oversight of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the subcontracting of specialized materials, equipment, or services. Ensure all aspects of the subcontract - cost, schedule, quality, and technical are supping program requirements and commitments are met.Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and work strategic initiatives to build and maintain a successful supply baseOwn communication within GSC, Division, Program and business areas regarding subcontracts status and issues while working closely with a cross functional teamPrepare and present executive level presentationsNegotiate subcontractor price, schedule, milestone payments, terms and conditions, to ensure NGC is making favorable business deals with leverage to overcome subcontractor performance issuesIdentify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk with supply base or internal processesSupports NGC proposals and influence quick-turn quotations from subcontractorsPerforms independent research and analysis of complex and strategically important risks related to suppliers.Coordinates with cross-functional teams on complex issues and risks to develop and present appropriate mitigation plans to Supplier Management Teams and Leadership.Coordinates with Contracts team on proposed new or revised contract terms or requirements; facilitates flow-down to Subcontracts Specialists by identifying and communicating any potential impacts or implications for consideration.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
