Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Nursing leader to oversee stroke program initiatives and assure Primary Stroke Center certification compliance. The role functions as clinician, educator, consultant and researcher to promote high-quality stroke care across the hospital continuum.

The position requires RN licensure in Georgia, and experience with data analysis and stroke care. Collaboration with the Stroke Committee and stakeholders is essential to ensure continuity and eliminate fragmentation

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program.
  • Associate’s Degree with 5 years of stroke care experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of stroke care experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and research.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line.
  • Ensure compliance with Primary Stroke Center certification requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for stroke treatment across the hospital.
  • Collaborate with Stroke Committee Chairman and other key stakeholders.

Serves as the point of contact for stroke treatment throughout the hospital, and works collaboratively with the Stroke Committee Chairman and other key stakeholders on all stroke efforts. Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients. Coordinate and manages care of stroke patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum.

Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate from a nursing program Required
  • Associate’s Degree and five (5) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or
  • Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or
  • Master’s degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a bachelor's degree Required or
  • 5 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a associates degree Required
  • Experience with data analysis and research Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Upon Hire Required
  • NIHSS certification Upon Hire Required
  • CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse Preferred or
  • SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse Preferred
