Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an experienced Stroke Care Coordinator to lead programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line, ensure Primary Stroke Center certification standards, and serve as the hospital’s point of contact for stroke treatment.

Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients. Coordinate and manages care of stroke patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Associate's Degree and five (5) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or
• ​Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or
• Master's degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a bachelor's degree Required or
• 5 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a associates degree Required
• Experience with data analysis and research Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Upon Hire Required
• NIHSS certification Upon Hire Required
• CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse Preferred or
• SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse Preferred
