We are seeking a stellar compliance manager with operational experience in internet service provider/telecom obligations to join the Global Service Compliance team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
In collaboration with other teams, you will develop out-of-this-world strategies for managing global compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly. You will manage a team of 3 or more compliance professionals working closely with business development, operations, finance, accounting, tax, and others to design, build, implement, test, and maintain global strategies and policies that support mechanized processes and execution procedures. You will be responsible for anticipating compliance trends that impact service compliance strategies and policies and reacting to external and internal changes.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
This position may be based in Redmond, WA, or Arlington, VA, Earth. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. No intergalactic travel is yet required.
• 5+ years’ experience developing policies and designing effective processes
• 5+ years’ experience in communications industry
• 3+ years’ experience leading people
• Previous experience developing and maintaining compliance policies, processes and procedures at a telecommunications or internet service provider
• Familiarity with global telecommunications regulatory landscape
• Seeks and considers differing perspectives to inform decisions
• Excited and passionate about innovating on behalf of our customers
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $198,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
