The Store Manager will provide and communicate the strategic direction and vision for the store. The Store Manager will manage all facets of store operations and ensure operational excellence in retail merchandising, inventory management, employee engagement, and customer relations. The Store Manager will coach and develop the store team to provide superior customer service and shopping experiences through the execution of strategy, customized for the local market, in an engaging working environment, while achieving budgeted financial results.

Provides direction and leadership for a store with volume of $10M in annual sales or higher.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
  1. People Leadership
  2. Create a coaching and development culture for all store employees which embraces a passion for food
  3. Oversee total store talent management including recruitment, succession planning, orientation, training, performance management, and compensation
  4. Ensure the communication of operational requirements/changes and store vision to the entire store team
  1. Customer Offering
  2. Understand and respond to local market needs and competition
  3. Ensure superior execution of the retail commercial program and provide feedback and recommendations
  4. Role model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations daily for all staff
  5. Ensure community presence by working with store management and partners to host/support community events
  6. Create a shopping experience that engages customers, enhancing loyalty, sales, and profit
  7. Execute winning conditions as required
  1. Policy/Regulatory Adherence
  2. Ensure all company policies and procedures are communicated and followed
  3. Implement and maintain OH&S, food safety, and other regulatory requirements
  1. Financial
  2. Participate in local store marketing to identify and capitalize on opportunities
  3. Ensure efficient operation to meet financial targets and KPIs
  1. Personal/Professional Development
  2. Understand relevant company programs and attend necessary training
  3. Maintain industry trend knowledge

Other Duties:

  • Order equipment
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of store equipment
  • Perform other duties as requested by the company
What you have to offer:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five years of experience as a Department Manager
