Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Statutory Accounting & State Compliance Manager for a high-impact, remote 6-month contract. This hands-on role leads state regulatory filings across multiple insurance entities, manages the calendar, and drives deliverables with minimal oversight.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in statutory accounting, state filings, and Sovos Wings, along with strong communication and documentation skills. W2 benefits are available for eligible consultants.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting with a focus on statutory accounting.
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state regulatory filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Our client is seeking an experienced Statutory Accounting & State Compliance Manager to support its Insurance Accounting organization on a high-impact contract engagement. This hands‑on role will lead state regulatory compliance activities across multiple insurance entities, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of statutory filings, Bluebook reporting, and related regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in insurance statutory accounting, state regulatory filings, and hands‑on experience with Sovos Wings. This individual must be comfortable owning the compliance calendar, managing competing deadlines, and independently driving deliverables with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will also support process documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition activities to internal teams.

Rate: $70.00 - $80.00/hour W-2

Duration: 6-month contract

Experience Requirements

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a strong focus on statutory accounting ( Bluebook reporting)
• Hands‑on experience with Sovos Wings
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings and sundry filings
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills
• Experience with SAP preferred

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
