Roles And Responsibilities
- Manages and controls the overall activities and day-to-day operations of outlying stations and terminals in assigned territory, including contracted services, supervision of railroad custodial staff, structural and facility systems, and contracted services for maintenance, landscaping, custodial, snow removal, etc.
- Develops specifications for contracted services, including technical writing. Manages Rail Operations involvement in procurement bid process through contract award
- Reviews City, State, Federal and regulating agencies standards as they relate to operation and maintenance of station facilities.
- Analyzes the impact on facilities operations and passenger flow of all major facilities project work, including all capital programs in assigned stations.
- Coordinates the administration of applicable labor agreements related to facilities bargaining employees.
- Manages coordination with external departments including engineering, transportation, NJTPD, Amtrak, PATH, Septa, Government & Community Relations, Real Estate, Accounts Payable, etc.
- Works with Risk Management regarding legal issues at assigned properties, including statements and depositions as needed.
- Instills a safety awareness in all assigned personnel by encouraging the implementation of new approaches along with established programs, and works to develop new approaches to stations operations and report ideas to management.

Education, Experience, And Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Transportation, Engineering, or Business and 4 years of applied progressive experience working in operations, operations administration, facilities management, or transportation required, to include at least 2 years of Supervisory experience. and experience working for a railroad company preferred.
- One (1) year of closely related experience may be substituted for each year of Education required.
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access is desired. Familiarity with field work including 3rd party railroads, agencies, and municipalities desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Driver's License in the State of New Jersey required.
Working Environment
- Field Operations at Station Facilities
