Responsibilities

The Manager – Special Projects partners with the BAR Division senior leadership to lead high-impact initiatives, manage division priorities, and elevate administrative functions to executive standards. This role ensures alignment, accountability, and momentum by connecting people, processes, and priorities. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, highly organized professional skilled in navigating complex initiatives, synthesizing information for executives, and driving operational excellence through strategic communication and digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Division Support: Drive execution of high-priority initiatives, ensure operational alignment with strategic goals, and support decision-making and division effectiveness.
  2. Initiative Leadership and Delivery: Lead planning and execution of cross-functional initiatives, monitor timelines, manage stakeholders, and ensure targeted outcomes.
  3. Administrative Process Optimization: Redesign and standardize administrative support functions to meet executive standards, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
  4. Strategic Initiative Coordination: Track division-wide initiatives, maintain dashboards, and identify gaps or risks.
  5. Operational Communication: Prepare high-quality executive communications, talking points, and briefings; ensure timely follow-up.
  6. Portfolio Management and Executive Reporting: Manage initiatives, track performance, and deliver dashboards and reports; develop executive communications and coordinate follow-up.
  7. Internal Web and Resource Stewardship: Oversee and improve SharePoint sites and digital communication tools.
  8. Decision Support and Readiness: Prepare briefing documents, coordinate data requests, and ensure readiness for meetings and briefings.
  9. Cross-Functional Integration: Liaise with finance, HR, IT, and other areas to coordinate support and align resources.

Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; Mayo Clinic does not sponsor visas now or in the future.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8 years' relevant experience (including at least two years in financial leadership), or Master’s degree with 6 years' relevant experience, or 12 years' relevant experience in lieu of a degree, including two years in financial leadership. Healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience and HFMA certification are preferred. Master’s degree is preferred.

Additional Details

  • Exempt status
  • Salary: $113,776 - $164,985/year
  • Benefits eligible
  • Full-time schedule, 80 hours/pay period
  • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; 100% remote within the U.S.
  • No international assignment
