Job description

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

We’re looking for a Manager, Special Projects to drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that improve how Grow Therapy scales and operates. You’ll lead the Special Projects team that sits under Business Operations, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Business Operations. Your responsibilities will include leading complex projects, building scalable systems, and partnering across teams to solve critical business challenges.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage a Special Projects team of 2 Operations Associates
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives from scoping to execution, ensuring alignment, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and solve strategic or operational problems that don’t clearly fall within a single team’s remit, often in ambiguous or fast-changing areas.
  • Design and implement scalable systems, workflows, or processes that improve efficiency, quality, or decision-making across the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions (e.g., Operations, Data, Strategic Partnerships, Payor Success, etc.) to understand needs, drive alignment, and support execution.

The salary range for this position is $107,681.00 - $140,760.00 USD.

You’ll be a good fit if you are:

  • A Thoughtful Leader: You have 5+ years of experience and 2+ years managing a team of direct reports.
  • A Problem Solver: You ideally have experience in management consulting and/or strategy and operations at a high-growth startup. You’re able to identify business challenges based on metrics and analyses, and you’re ready to recommend solutions to improve business processes.
  • A data-driven decision maker: You have expert-level Excel/Google Sheet modeling skills and have strong SQL skills. You ground your thinking in data, using metrics and analysis to uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and guide operational decisions.
  • Mission-Driven: You’re here to change the world, and you’re always connecting your work back to the importance of the Grow Therapy mission.
  • Agile: You thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, and you’re able to pivot as new priorities emerge.

If you don’t meet every single requirement, but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box, and Grow believes the perfect candidate is more than just a resume.
