Responsibilities

The Manager – Special Projects partners with the BAR Division senior leadership to lead high-impact initiatives, manage division priorities, and elevate administrative functions to executive standards. The role requires a forward-thinking, organized professional skilled in navigating complex initiatives, synthesizing information for executives, and driving operational excellence through effective communication, digital tools, and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Division Support: Drive execution of high-priority initiatives, ensure operational alignment with strategic goals, and support decision-making to enhance division effectiveness.
  2. Initiative Leadership and Delivery: Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, stakeholders, risks, and outcomes.
  3. Administrative Process Optimization: Redesign and standardize administrative support to meet executive standards, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
  4. Strategic Initiative Coordination: Track division initiatives, maintain dashboards, and identify gaps or risks proactively.
  5. Operational Communication: Prepare executive communications, talking points, and briefings; ensure timely follow-up on actions.
  6. Portfolio Management and Reporting: Manage initiatives, track performance, and develop dashboards and reports. Coordinate follow-ups and ensure clear communication flow.
  7. Internal Web and Resource Stewardship: Oversee SharePoint sites and digital communication tools for accuracy and relevance.
  8. Decision Support and Readiness: Prepare briefing documents, coordinate data requests, and ensure leadership readiness for meetings and briefings.
  9. Cross-Functional Integration: Liaise with finance, HR, IT, and other areas to support and align resources.

Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience (including 2 years of financial leadership), or Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, including financial leadership. Healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience and HFMA certification are preferred. Master’s degree is also preferred.

  • Exemption Status: Exempt
  • Salary Range: $113,776 - $164,985/year
  • Benefits Eligible: Yes
  • Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • Remote work within the U.S. allowed
  • International assignment: No
