The Software Development Manager leads a team of full-stack developers. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering applications, coordinating with stakeholders, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality software solutions. This role drives innovation, productivity, and efficient development processes.

Essential Job Functions

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software systems and applications for market sale or proprietary use.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, managing scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets, while adhering to best practices.
• Lead development projects through full lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, and deployment.
• Support Agile processes, facilitate planning, cross-team collaboration, and demonstrate working software.
• Evaluate new platforms and technologies for feasibility and integration into products.
• Make design decisions promoting reusability, extensibility, maintainability, and minimal coupling.
• Provide solutions for scalability, performance, and technology challenges impacting delivery.
• Serve as escalation point for the development team.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Team Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of industry experience, with 2+ years in a VP or equivalent role.
• 5+ years managing distributed teams.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and development environments, including C#,.Net, Python, JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native applications, AWS, APIs, databases, and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture, IaC, observability tools, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and proactive approach.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with generative AI technologies and frameworks.
• Ability to design and implement AI models and algorithms.
• Expertise in language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector search.
• Experience with AWS AI/ML services, Python, and modern AI stacks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and security compliance.
