Charles Schwab is seeking a results-oriented software developer to join the Digital Utilities Technology team in Texas. The role focuses on re-architecting our core enterprise platform, delivering high-performance, scalable software in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

You will work on modern streaming architectures, REST-based APIs, and cloud-ready applications, collaborating with senior engineers to reduce time to market and increase efficiency.

Formación

• Minimum 6 years of advanced development experience in C# .NET, .NET Core, and UML.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL / NoSQL databases architecture, design, and implementation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with streaming and messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Solace).
• Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience.
• Experience with Schwab systems and processes.
• Excellent design and implementation of REST based Web Service APIs and enterprise scale web solutions (Angular/React, Web API, cloud-ready apps).
• Strong CI/CD, unit testing, API test automation, and deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of SOLID, Agile methodologies, and fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently, plan work, and deliver timely.

We are moving towards a Test-Driven development and Continuous Integration environment using various DevOps tools. The software engineer will be a hands-on developer that excels in a dynamic, fast-moving, and agile environment and is passionate about developing high quality, high performance, and scalable software. The candidate will work aside a team of seasoned engineers whose main objective is to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.

This position will be part of Digital Utilities Technology team at Schwab and we will focus on driving client-centricity, reducing time to market & increasing efficiency within the Smart Processing Orchestrator (SPO) Platform. The model is insights-driven and focuses on rapid iterations to drive innovation and transformation. What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of 'challenging the status quo,' this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 6 years of advanced development experience in C# .Net, .NET Core, and understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language)
• Minimum 5 years of experience with database (SQL / NoSQL) architecture, design and implementation
• Minimum 5 years of experience with modern streaming and messaging architecture, design and implementation (RabbitMQ, Kafka and Solace or similar messaging platforms)
• Minimum of 3 years team leadership experience
• Current working experience with Schwab systems and processes
• Exceptional experience designing and implementing REST based Web Service API(s) and building enterprise scale web solutions n-tier architecture using open-source technologies (Angular / React), Microsoft Web API, and cloud-ready applications (AWS, Azure, GCF, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or similar cloud infrastructure)
• Advanced understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tool
• Advanced understanding of latest Architecture and principles Development Standards, Guidelines and SOLID
• Advanced understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
• Should be comfortable in a fast-paced customer focused environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques.
• Independently plans own work and are accountable to meet schedules and deliverables
• Self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
• Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various level of technical and non-technical management
• Experience providing guidance, direction, and feedback to other technical staff in order to meet agreed upon objectives.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in developing applications using modern streaming technologies and protocols
• Experience leading teams in a scaled agile framework
• Proficient working in a closely integrated environment with multiple scrum teams
• Proficient managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field from an accredited universityor institution.
