FASTSIGNS #15301 is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in Houston. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl and graphics, prepare substrates, weed vinyl, and operate wide format printers and cutters.

The role includes QA, finishing, and inventory reporting to support smooth production. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in sign production, a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google suite.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates, including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
• Weed excess vinyl and handle varying image complexities.
• Operate and maintain wide format printers, CNC Router, Laser cutter and flatbed printer.
• Produce and fabricate ADA signage.
• Perform QA by reading work orders and checking for errors.
• Finish pieces with laminating or mounting.
• Report inventory levels and reorder needs to the center/production manager.
• Maintain clean storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain wide format roll printers, CNC Router, Laser cutter and flatbed printer.
• Produce and fabricate ADA signage.
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 3-5 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Proficient in Adobe suite, Google suite and production equipment front end software.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
