Job summary

Addison Group seeks a Manager, Shared Services Accounting to oversee AP/AR operations across a high-volume environment. You will provide day-to-day guidance to accounting staff, coordinate with the India-based shared services team, and review journal entries to ensure accurate posting and timely close.

The role emphasizes strong balance sheet reconciliation, process improvement, and collaboration with international stakeholders during a temporary 6-9 month assignment with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior management experience overseeing AP, AR, or general accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of general accounting and journal entry activity.
• Experience reviewing and approving journal entries.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to accounting team members
• Partner with the shared services team in India to resolve accounting issues and support daily operations
• Review and approve journal entries prior to posting
• Oversee a high volume of daily and biweekly journal entries
• Review credit card and P-card related journal entries, fees, and accruals
• Support month-end close and respond to accounting questions as they arise
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Review AP aging reports and help drive cleanup of outstanding balances
• Respond to Controller questions and escalations related to accounting transactions and reporting
• Support bad debt accounting and related journal entries
• Provide oversight of fixed asset accounting activities
• Support preparation of financial reporting for international stakeholders
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely completion of assigned accounting activities
• Help maintain continuity of shared services operations during a period of systems and process change

Position Title: Manager, Shared Services Accounting

Location: Ashburn, VA - Hybrid

Assignment Type: Temporary, 6-9 Months with Potential to Extend

Compensation: $45-55/hour

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 5 days onsite for the first 2-3 weeks of training, then approximately 1 day per week onsite
