Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operation and delivery of Nutrition Programs (congregate and home-delivered meals).
  • Maintain program records, data, and required reporting with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with AllThrive 365 policies and funding/contractual requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with funders and external partners; support reviews and renewals.
  • Coordinate meal service, menu standards, and kitchen coordination for meal programs.
  • Support participant needs and refer to CAP staff or other services as needed.
  • Coordinate participant activities and special programs with staff and partners.
  • Ensure home-delivered meals vehicles are clean and ready for service; assist when needed.
  • Promote community engagement and participate in fundraising and initiatives.
  • Lead staff in accordance with policies and applicable laws; collaborate with HR.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Manager, Senior Center and CAP ensures direct service delivery to senior center participants through socialization, recreation, and education; and oversees the administrative duties for service delivery including Congregate & HDM programs and the Community Action Program (CAP). Ensures contractual compliance for Area Agency on Aging, MCHSD agreements, and any other active contracts necessary. Maintains and promotes public relations with civic organizations, local government, funding agencies, and religious organizations.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and delivery of Nutrition Programs, including congregate and home-delivered meal services, ensuring services are coordinated effectively, contractual requirements are met, and participants receive consistent, high-quality service.
  • Maintain accurate program records, data, and required reporting, including client records, monthly program reports, Senior Center reporting to Accounting, and timely and accurate information within ServeTracker, Link2Feed, MCHSD, and other required systems, with particular attention to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements and quality standards, including AllThrive 365 policies and procedures, Area Agency on Aging requirements, funding agreements, licensing requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable program standards.
  • Maintain effective relationships with funders and external partners, including coordinating policy and program updates, supporting annual reviews and monitoring activities, responding to reporting requirements, and identifying potential funding opportunities.
  • Oversee nutrition standards and meal-service coordination, ensuring menus meet applicable nutritional guidelines, semiannual menu rotations are maintained and updated, and home-delivered meal services are effectively coordinated with Kitchen staff.
  • Support participant needs and access to services by maintaining appropriate participant contact, identifying additional needs, and making referrals to Community Action Program staff or other appropriate health and social service resources.
  • Coordinate participant activities and supplemental program services, including bingo, nutrition activities, brown bag and food box distribution, and other special programs conducted in partnership with staff, volunteers, and community organizations.
  • Oversee the operational readiness of home-delivered meal vehicles, including ensuring vehicles are clean, properly maintained, and available to support safe and reliable program operations; assist with congregate meal service or home-delivered meal delivery when needed.
  • Promote community engagement and continuous program improvement by collaborating with the Site Advisory Council, supporting recruitment of new council members, participating in fundraising and community activities, contributing to organizational work teams, and identifying opportunities to strengthen program quality, effectiveness, and service delivery.
  • Lead and manage staff in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, performance management, employee development, and collaboration with Human Resources and leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Human Services, with at least one year in supervision and two years experience working with seniors
  • Knowledge of the needs and issues facing the senior community
  • Familiarity with federal, state and county resources available to the elderly
  • Possess a valid unrestricted driver license and be insurable by AllThrive 365
  • Possess Serve Safe Kitchen Manager certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of position entry
  • Possess CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of position entry
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Public Safety and comprehensive background clearance to include a physical, drug screen and other
