Caleres in New York City is seeking a Manager, Retail Planning to shape omnichannel inventory strategies for our Famous Footwear and other brands. You will lead forecasting, assortment localization, and lifecycle management to drive growth.

Join our dynamic team to present insights to senior leadership, optimize allocation with Power BI and Tableau, and ensure speed-to-market across channels. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on analytics in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in Omnichannel inventory planning & fulfillment strategy.
• 5+ years experience in Assortment planning, localization, and size optimization (footwear).
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.

• Drive Omnichannel Planning Strategy: Develop scenario plans to respond to demand and market trends.
• Optimize Inventory & Allocation: Create accurate demand forecasts by channel using data.
• Assortment & Product Lifecycle Management: Localized assortment strategies based on demand and geography.
• Strategic Leadership: Present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Leverage Planning Systems: Power BI and Tableau to identify trends and opportunities.

What will you be doing?

• Drive Omnichannel Planning Strategy: Develop scenario plans to proactively respond to changing demand, supply challenges, and market trends.
• Optimize Inventory & Allocation: Create accurate demand forecasts by channel using sales trends, digital insights, and market data.
• Assortment & Product Lifecycle Management: Develop localized assortment strategies based on customer demand, geography, climate, and demographics.
• Strategic Leadership: Present strategic recommendations and business insights to senior leadership.
• Leverage Planning Systems: Power BI, Tableau, and analytics to identify trends and opportunities.

Qualifications that make you the perfect fit!

• 5-7 years experience in Omnichannel inventory planning & fulfillment strategy
• 5+ years experience in Assortment planning, localization, and size optimization (footwear-specific)
• Functioned in both field and corporate environments
• Track record of Speed-to-market agility and trend responsiveness
• Advanced Excel
• Microsoft Office Suite
