GitLab is seeking a Manager, Renewals to lead our Renewals team and protect recurring revenue across regions in a remote, asynchronous environment.

The role expands to a Senior Renewal Manager, coordinating with Sales, Customer Success, Finance and Legal to optimize renewal outcomes and strengthen customer relationships. You’ll hire, coach and develop Renewal Managers while focusing on timely renewals and growth opportunities.

An overview of this role

Reports to: Senior Manager, Renewals

Manager, Renewals Responsibilities

• Extends to that of a Senior Renewal Manager.
• Manage Renewals team to ensure healthy weekly activities
• Review weekly forecasts and business outcomes with reps and sales managers. This includes win/loss review so we can iterate our approach based on our success and failures.
• Responsible for all renewals of all contracts and upgrades
• Collaborates with regional Sales and Customer Success leaders
• Hires, coaches and develops Renewal Managers
• Participates in the design and execution of the Renewals Manager playbooks

Manager, Renewals Requirements

• Demonstrated sales or renewals management experience
• Aptitude for continous improvement philosophy and strategy development and execution

About the team

The Renewals team focuses on protecting and growing GitLab's recurring revenue by managing the full contract lifecycle for our subscription customers. As a Renewal Manager, you'll be part of a quota-carrying team that works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely, accurate renewals and strong customer retention across regions in an all-remote, asynchronous environment. The team is responsible for forecasting renewal outcomes, identifying and addressing churn risk, and uncovering opportunities to expand GitLab adoption, while continuously improving processes and best practices that support predictable, sustainable growth.
