Job summary

Mercy is seeking a reimbursement leader to maximize governmental reimbursement through supervision of Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and audit support. The role coordinates monthly calculations of revenue deductions and A/R reserves, and leads projects for the Director, Reimbursment.

Ideal candidate has deep expertise in cost reporting and experience supporting intern/resident programs, including IME and GME reimbursement, with a strong grasp of relevant regulatory requirements affecting

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in business, accounting, or finance.
• 5 years of progressive development within a healthcare environment including experience managing staff.
• Experience preparing, completing, and reviewing healthcare cost reports including IME and GME reimbursement.

Position Details

This position is REMOTE

Primary Responsibilities Of The Manager-Reimbursement Are

• Maximize governmental reimbursement through supervision of Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and audit support.


• Coordinate monthly calculation and analysis of revenue deductions and A/R reserves.


• Coordinate various projects as deemed necessary by the Director, Reimbursment.

Seeking a reimbursement leader with deep expertise in cost reporting and teaching hospital reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have direct experience supporting intern and resident programs, including IME and GME reimbursement, and a strong understanding of the financial and regulatory requirements that impact accredited residency training programs.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in business, accounting, or finance.

Experience

• 5 years of progressive development within a healthcare environment including experience managing staff.


• Recent hands-on responsibility for the preparation, completion, and review of healthcare cost reports, including experience supporting IME and GME reimbursement within an intern and resident training environment.

Other

• Effective communication skills with peers and upper management.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.


• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.


• Understanding of the net revenue month-end closing process.
