Job Description
- Job Duties
- Identifies future department needs, new technologies, and products for applicability and makes recommendations for the integration/utilization of existing systems in conjunction with Technology Services.
- Manages staffing levels, schedules, employee relations, discipline, and performance evaluations; conducts staff meetings; develops and maintains accurate job descriptions and performance standards; and fills in last minute if no coverage is found.
- Inputs and monitors employee time and attendance, staff scheduling, education, and labor productivity in Workday.
- Evaluates programs for operational effectiveness and implements improvements.
- Provides input to the Senior Director on customer requests' feasibility and cost, analyzing alternative solutions.
- Reviews invoices and consults with vendors to optimize communication and operations.
- Establishes and implements departmental goals, policies, and procedures within financial guidelines.
- Develops the annual capital equipment budget and contributes to other departmental budgets, managing variances.
- Supervises quality and training programs.
- Measures, analyzes, and manages process performance, adjusting standards to optimize effectiveness.
- Guides the development and maintenance of information privacy policies.
- Participates in planning to ensure patient access and scheduling services are appropriate and available.
- Maintains current policies and educates staff on insurance procedures and financial aid processes.
Follows safety guidelines, reports unsafe conditions, and responds to incidents promptly.

Professional Experience
- Minimum five years billing experience.
- Minimum three years supervisory experience.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
- Preferred: Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, or Electronic Privacy Information Center certifications.
