Job summary

SDL Search Partners is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead quarterly and annual GAAP reporting for a Global Alternative Asset Management group headquartered in Boston. Responsibilities include treasury support, fund/partnership rollup analysis, and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting required; MSA/MST preferred.
• CPA credential is a plus but not required.
• Public Accounting experience highly preferred.
• Experience with RE Funds / REIT structures highly preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly reporting and annual GAAP reporting with external administrators and auditors.
• Assist in Treasury functions including liquidity management and cash projections.
• Analyze and manage rollup commitment structures within Investment Management.
• Collaborate across accounting, tax, legal, investor relations and other teams for timely, accurate reporting.
• Provide data validation and system support for maintenance, data conversions or upgrades.
• Oversee tax-related workflows with internal and external tax teams.
• Support REIT compliance and reporting with advisors and in-house teams.
• Lead special projects from inception to completion.
• Troubleshoot GL close transactions including eliminations and accruals.

Responsibilities:

• Management of quarterly reporting and annual GAAP reporting, including hands-on coordination and in-depth review of deliverables with our external administrators and our auditors such as management fees and waterfall calculations.
• Assist in Treasury functions including review of facility, covenant compliance, liquidity management and cash projections and review of cash transfers.
• Analysis and management of the company/Fund/partnership rollup commitment structures within Investment Management.
• Collaborate across accounting, tax, legal, investor relations, and other teams to deliver timely, accurate financial reporting
• Provide data validation, testing and other support that may be required for maintenance, data conversions, upgrades or other projects relating to system support.
• Oversight of tax-related workflows in coordination with internal and external tax teams.
• Support REIT compliance and reporting, working with advisors and in-house teams
• Take ownership of special projects and key deliverables from inception through completion
• Analysis/troubleshoot of transactions related to the general ledger close, including eliminations, accruals for fund level expenses, distributions and other transactions within the Investment Accounting system.

Experience Necessary:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required; MSA / MST preferred
• CPA is a plus, but not required
• Public Accounting experience highly preferred
