Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Manager, Radiology - MRI Services to lead one of the region’s most advanced MRI programs. This role will oversee daily operations, collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, and drive strategic growth across UW Health.

The ideal candidate will bring proven imaging leadership, strong financial planning skills, and a commitment to safety and patient-centered care in an academic health system.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Radiology/Medical Imaging school.
  • 3 years health care operations supervisory experience or five (5) years of progressive relevant experience with demonstrated success and leadership skills.
  • Experience with an academic medical center or complex healthcare system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead MRI services across multiple hospitals and outpatient locations.
  • Oversee daily operations in a sophisticated imaging environment with cutting-edge technology.
  • Partner with radiologists, technologists, and leaders to drive growth, optimize performance, and enhance patient care.
  • Shape strategy, influence financial performance, and mentor high-performing teams.

Job description

Work Schedule

This full-time position is based at University Hospital in Madison, WI but will travel to other local locations and is scheduled Monday through Friday, with core hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hours may vary for one off shift rounding and operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Radiology/Medical Imaging school Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in in Business, Healthcare Administration, Physical Science, Biological Science, or other relevant field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years health care operations supervisory experience or five (5) years of progressive relevant experience with demonstrated success and leadership skills Required
  • Experience with an academic medical center or complex healthcare system Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification by appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging body through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire Required or
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Upon Hire Required or
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) Upon Hire Required or
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) Preferred
