Job summary

RTX is seeking a Quality leader in Everett, WA to manage the Quality Control Inspection and Quality Engineering teams, ensuring strong customer interfaces and robust program quality plans. You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and harmonize site quality efforts across the Landing Gear program.

The role emphasizes risk-based QMS deployment, cost-of-poor-quality reductions, and cross-site collaboration to achieve best-in-class performance.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all the activities of the Quality Control Inspection and Quality Engineering team.
  • Provide leadership to the Quality Department staff including mentoring, coaching, training, recruiting, performance management and employee development.

What You Will Do
  • Manage and coordinate all the activities of the Quality Control Inspection and Quality Engineering team.
  • Provide leadership to the Quality Department staff including mentoring, coaching, training, recruiting, performance management and employee development.
  • Provide Quality interface and expertise between the organization and its customers.
  • Develop and implement program quality plans and procedures and drive harmonization between Landing Gear program quality teams.
  • Manage site quality Key Process Indicators, develop and implement improvement activities, and drive reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and customer escapes.
  • Manage site continuous improvement program (CORE) to support the site’s improvement targets and drive harmonization within the CORE operating system.
  • Serve as the CORE domain focal.
  • Manage the site Quality Management System and ensure compliance with industry, customer, and organization requirements.
  • Utilize the QMS to drive a risk-based approach to proactively improve the site’s processes.
  • Promote a One-Collins approach to drive strong relationships and partner with Everett operations, Landing Gear sites, and the Collins Organization.
  • Promote the RTX Zero framework to drive best-in‑class performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
