Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is hiring a Purchasing Manager to join the Procurement Team for STANLEY Engineered Fastening in a hybrid setup (onsite in Chesterfield, MI or Hopkinsville, KY; remote 2 days).

You will drive category strategies, onboard suppliers, and lead cost improvements while coordinating with global affiliates. A Bachelor's degree and automotive experience are required, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement or related field.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
• Strong influencing and change-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with global teams in North America.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as JDE LX.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of category strategy within their region.
• Analyze current situation, plan improvements, and gain internal buy-in.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers aligned with category strategy.
• Drive 5% YoY productivity via cost and margin improvements.
• Lead supplier relationships as local rep for global affiliates.
• Assist Lead Category Manager with project management and strategy execution.
• Build category cost models and monitor raw materials, FX, trends.

Job Overview

The Job: As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll be part of our Procurement Team for STANLEY Engineered Fastening team working as a hybrid employee.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Manager will support execution of category strategy within their region.
• Be a critical thinker that can analyze the current situation, develop a plan to improve, and execute the plan while be able to communicate the plan to obtain internal adoption.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers that are in alignment with the category strategy.
• Drive world class cost and margin enhancement (TCO Improvement) to deliver 5% YOY productivity.
• Lead and manage supplier relationships as the local representative for global affiliates.
• Support the Lead Category Manager (LCM) on project management and executing category and regional strategies.
• Experience building category cost models/clean sheets, and monitoring raw material, FX, and market trends.

• At least a Bachelors Degree
• At least 5-7 years of experience
• Automotive experience

• Strong Excel background with experience in ERP systems such as JDE LX

Compensation

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00. This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.
