Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Lead Category Sourcing Manager in a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, with global responsibilities.

You will drive IT software procurement, vendor evaluations, and multi-year savings through strategic sourcing and negotiations. You will lead complex contract management, partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and Cybersecurity teams, and mentor others while shaping SOPs.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of procurement experience with global, complex initiatives/ corporate environment.
• Management consulting background preferred.
• 5+ years IT Technology category (software, IT related labor) experience.
• Software focus required.
• VAR/reseller management experience.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across IT, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Proven leadership and ability to operate independently with minimal ramp-up.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, IT, CS, Engineering, Legal, or other quantitative discipline; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate IT contract renewals: structure, lead, and support complex contract negotiations with multi-year savings and detailed tracking.
• Plan/Execute Strategic Sourcing Initiatives, evaluate vendors, negotiate/award, contract management, SRM, governance, and analytics.
• IT escalation lead as central point of contact for MSP and internal IT software procurement and VIPs.
• Execute and lead IT software procurement operations, review and approve contracts, and improve SOPs for continuous improvement.

The Job:

As a Lead Category Sourcing Manager, you’ll be part of our Global Supply Chain Sourcing team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to:

• Negotiate IT Contract Renewals: Structure, lead, and support complex contract negotiations including contract license management as required in partnership with senior IT stakeholders/ advisory partners and focus on Software category from usage forecast to contract execution with multi-year savings and other detailed tracking.
• Strategic Sourcing: Plan/Execute Strategic Sourcing Initiatives, Evaluate Vendors, Negotiate/ Award, Contract Management, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), Implementation, Governance/ Compliance, Procurement Business Operations (e.g. approvals, supplier analytics, reporting, etc.)
• IT Escalation Lead: Central point of contact for IT escalations in support of Managed Services Provider and internal IT Software Procurement Team as well as white glove handling for C-suite and other VIPs.
• IT Day-to-Day Contract Management Operations: Execute, support and lead IT Software Procurement Team through contract review, approval, detailed/ tactical tracking and administration while enhancing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for continuous improvement.

• Proven leadership, transformation, and ability to operate independently with minimal ramp-up.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Legal, or other quantitative discipline.
• MBA preferred.
• Expert Level proficiency in Excel (VBA/macros not required), Strong Contract Negotiator.

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00 This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
