Job summary

Jobtailor in Sandusky, OH seeks a Lead Project Manager to oversee freezing and refrigeration equipment projects. You will lead a team, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure delivery of high-quality products with a customer-first focus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in related field required.
• MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading highly productive teams.
• Ability to develop, monitor, analyze, and control project budgets.
• Strong interpersonal, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syteline).
• Ability to read engineering and assembly drawings; design of experiments knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers responsible for schedules and budgets.
• Ensure timely, on-budget delivery of high-quality freezing and refrigeration projects.
• Serve as primary internal contact for Project Managers.
• Coordinate with customers, sales, engineering and other functions during project execution.
• Ensure safety, quality, and financial reporting compliance.
• Develop strategic project plans to support growth and cost reductions.
• Track continuous improvement activities related to change orders and ASC 606 compliance.
• Provide technical overviews and participate in sessions affecting product safety and cost.
• Travel to customer sites up to 20% to support teams and train personnel.
• Report project status bi-weekly to management.
• Collaborate with PM, Product Management, and Engineering on proposals.

• Lead a team of project managers accountable for technical schedules and financial performance of freezing and refrigeration equipment projects
• Ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and within project budgets with a customer-first mentality
• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for Project Managers
• Facilitate interaction with Customers, Sales, Applications, Product Line Managers, Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering during project order execution
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and financial reporting
• Create strategic project plans supporting segment growth and cost and lead-time reductions
• Track continuous improvement activities related to change orders, ASC 606 revenue compliance, and additional initiatives
• Provide technical overviews and participate in technical sessions affecting product safety, quality, schedule, and cost
• Drive the order inbounding Prospect Review process to deliver well-scoped projects
• Travel to customer sites globally up to 20% to support project management teams, troubleshoot production problems, and train customer personnel
• Ensure project teams report project status bi-weekly to the JBT Marel management team
• Develop and track personnel career objectives and coordinate growth through performance reviews, individual interviews, and training recommendations
• Collaborate with Project Management, Product Management, and Engineering teams to research and develop concepts and proposals for specific customer requests

Requirements
